What an excellent concept -- the removable pot is made of cast aluminum and might go onto a stove high. I can saute greens, brown a roast and then lift the pot (using oven mitts) into the sluggish cooker to complete while I'm at work.

The aluminum pot's partitions and backside are about half of an inch assume and distribute heat evenly.

This prime quality dutch oven style steel insert is the answer to my desires. My slow cooker is on 24/7 for my dogs [most loss of life row dogs coming from starvation state of affairss]. I need to guide time for us to cook dinner other merchandises. I may have to get some different one.
I love the two sets of handles, the good space between the base and insert aspect, the steam vent in the glass lid. It would take advantage of pour spout in the middle of the insert.
The steel lid handle will get sizzling, watch the fingers. I would like 7 qts, however I over fill the complete lot so the larger it's the more I will fill it anyway.

I can brown meat on the stove in the identical pan that I slow cook dinner it in. Because I didn't read carefully I didn't notice that it was oncen't programable until I unpacked it. Other than that it works well and meets my wants accurately.
